Archives for Month: June 2011

The other day I successfully broke the “B” key on my laptop. 💩 I was vacuuming my room (like a good girl) and decided to give my laptop, Fin, a nice clean, too. Unfortunately I have a sick habit of not using a compressor and just pulling out all the keys, being a daredevil and hoping they won’t break when I do. Then I vacuum out all the dust bunnies, because, what the hell are […]

My first photography assignment is due in two days and unlike every other assignment: I’ve finished! This is probably the first time I’ve finished an assignment so early. No all-nighters for me, considering the photography labs aren’t even open past 5:00pm, so this really keeps me on the ball. Not only that, but I enjoy this subject so much, it’s like I’m not even in class but just having fun. This is what I love […]

Today I went out with James to the beach and the rocks (by the beach). I figured I could get quite a bit of my photography assignment done today as well, but I had to allow enough time to buy film (which I idiotically forgot to do the other day, so we had to make extra trips today) and process it as well as travel time.

We decided to walk to the beach from […]

Today I had another lesson of photography, in which we processed our rolls of film and printed a contact sheet. The film roll I had was from a photoshoot from yesterday. As part of our task we had to create photographs of a person, an object and a place. Because of how individually oriented this task is, especially in terms of expression, we had to choose things that meant a lot to us. For the […]

I had my first photography class today, and already I feel overwhelmed. In a good way, though. I’m excited to take some photos and develop film and all that fun stuff. The thing is, since I’m doing this subject over the winter, the work is pretty intensive. I already have my first assignment due in a week, and I need to take a full roll of shots by Wednesday. Needless to say, I’m excited. 😁 […]

I am a girl and I think that while pain is supposed to be my friend, I think it not. Today I was lying in a foetal position for most of the day and complaining and crying and wincing with every stretch of an arm… yeah, I hate periods.

Pain is supposed to tell us that something is wrong. I remember what I learned in biology, the second line of defence – inflammation… if […]

I have been blogging really erratically lately and it’s been five days since my last blog post (!!). I’m not sure if it’s because things are getting boring, or if I’ve really been too busy with other things. Maybe I don’t have anything to write about that people will find interesting, but I’ve had people tell me that I write about the most random things and they’re still interesting.

I haven’t returned comments for […]

It was the 10th June yesterday. It’s hard to believe it has come and gone. It seems like just yesterday that I was dying for the day to come. Weeks ago, knowing the 10th of June was the end of semester, I was itching for it. I was waiting for the end of semester because I could not wait until I would be finally done with the horrible subjects I had. Admittedly my media subject […]

Two assignments left… one is nearly done, and the other is going to be tedious but I’m telling you, it’s already a thousand times better than that database assignment I had to give in on Monday. I am just relieved that part is over and there really isn’t much more to go. 😄 I only have a week of break before I go back to university for my photography class… but that should be alright. […]

I used to have a category/tag on my blog, “idiots”. I took it out because I kind of ran out of funny stories to tell about idiots on the train, and in essence, there weren’t many stories at all. Perhaps people have become smarter and have more common sense, or I just pay no attention anymore? If it’s the former, well, today just proved that hypothesis wrong. More specifically, this afternoon. It was just the […]
