Just sharing a bunch of tunes I’ve got on rotation while working out.

  1. Empire of the Sun – High and Low
  2. Marianas Trench – Haven’t Had Enough
  3. The Grates – Like You Could Have It All
  4. Regular John – San Isidore
  5. Blur – Charmless Man
  6. San Cisco – Fred Astaire
  7. Electric Light Orchestra – Four Little Diamonds
  8. Mike Posner – In The Arms of a Stranger (Grey Remix)
  9. The Classic Crime – Bitter Uprising
  10. Calvin Harris – Feels (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean)
  11. Galantis – Runaway (U & I)
  12. Jeremy Neale – In Stranger Times (feat. Go Violets)
  13. The Cardigans – Lovefool
  14. Spin Doctors – Two Princes
  15. Britney Spears – Stronger
  16. Nine Days – Absolutely (Story of a Girl)
  17. Lime Cordiale – Temper Temper
  18. Jeremy Neale – Let Me Go Out In Style

I definitely have to thank my brother Brandon for the recommendation of In The Arms of a Stranger – I am hooked on it!

High and Low featured as the last song on my previous playlist so it sort of leaked into this one a little bit.

A lot of these songs are revisiting some old favourites. I like to use my gym playlists as an opportunity to delve into what my entire library is like on shuffle and add the ones that I react to with, “Oh I remember this song, I love it!”

Britney Spears makes an appearance on my playlist because Stronger is just a totally powerful and motivating song, is it not? :P

Two Princes is one of those songs you have totally heard before but don’t know the name of. ;) I had asked Siri on my iPhone to name the song after hearing it in a shop… because I heard the song a lot and didn’t know the name.

You should definitely listen to Temper Temper by Lime Cordiale since it’s their latest hit, and has a cool vibe.

Holly said that Four Little Diamonds is her boyfriend Tyrone’s favourite ELO song. It’s definitely towards the top of my list too, and super funky for a workout track.

And eh, nothing beats Feels which is obviously the track of the moment. ☺️

What music have you been motivated by lately?

STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY

I loved this song. It’s one of the most underrated Britney Spears songs, smh.

This post was cool. 😊 I’ve considered sharing my playlists but I’m not sure how precisely (might in my monthly posts, because my playlist changes that often). Mine:

– Ed Sheeran – Don’t
– Ed Sheeran – Shape of You
– Sia – The Greatest
– Anne-Marie – Alarm

+ Songs I have written because they were in my head. 😳
+ Songs for writing purposes.

I honestly haven’t heard any of these songs! :(
I need to check these songs. My playlist currently has Sia and my ever favourite Linkin Park songs. I am liking your gym playlist posts, you should do some other playlists posts, songs you listen to on the way to work, while working (if you do). It would be fun!

I’m listening to Britney Spears right now and it’s all because of you. 🎶 It is such an empowering, bad ass song definitely. My favourite empowering songs right now:

– Power – Little Mix (Stormzy remix)
– Grown – Little Mix
– Hell of a Girl – Grace
– Survivor – Destiny’s Child
– Fighter – Christina Aguilera

💪🏼

I love Feels! Everybody loves a bit of Calvin Harris 😏

I never thought to add a Britney Spears song to my workout play list, until now! 🎶 I’m stronger than yesterday 🎶
Most of my playlist is Linkin Park and Papa Roach songs at the moment, with Eye of the Tiger thrown in there. ;-)

i haven’t heard any of these songs! then again, i mostly don’t listen to uh…radio songs, if these songs are radio ones i mean. since it’s a gym playlist, i’m guessing they’re the catchy, loud kind that pumps you up? eh, i don’t know. that sounds like a bad generalization but i’m not sure how to describe it better. i don’t go to the gym so yeah i don’t have songs that motivate me the way a person working out is motivated by upbeat music if that makes sense but i DO create spotify playlists from time to time and lately, i’ve been obsessed with good girls by LANY and the band fickle friends.

I never listen to the radio – a lot of these songs are from lesser known bands (mostly Australian ones) and wouldn’t be on the radio, or are classics from the 70s or 90s.

It’s also a generalisation to say that everyone listens to upbeat music at the gym – that’s not always the case. 😉

Admit it, Georgie. You got Absolutely (Story of a Girl from me. :p Seriously, though, I love that song. It reminds me of my younger days.

I’ve been listening to Franz Ferdinand a lot. I like the high energy. It gives me motivation to eat breakfast. Hey, it’s a start.

Can’t say I’ve heard any of these, but I don’t exactly listen to ‘typical’ music. Mostly instrumental, new age, games, anime, and cartoons stuff! XD

But its great when you find those songs that just motivate you!
