Apart from my professional experience as a web developer/software engineer, and wide knowledge and experience as a ballerina, dancer, concert photographer, traveller, and fitness enthusiast, I am not a professional or an expert in the topics I write about. I cannot guarantee that any information I share will produce the same result for you as it did for myself, so it is in your best interests to contact a professional for further advice or information.

Privacy Policy
I don’t collect any personally identifying information unless you share it with me. If you use a comment form on one of my blog posts, you will need to provide a name and a valid email address for your comment to be successfully submitted. Your IP address is also recorded automatically. If you provide your website URL with a comment, it will be available to the public as it is linked to via your name or other anchor text near your comment.
Your personal information such as name, email address and IP address, may be shared with relevant third parties (but kept confidential between myself and those trusted third parties) to take action in the event of:
- a breach of my terms & conditions,
- harassment or threats towards me and/or other person(s).
My website collects other information related to your activity on my website, such as the web browser you are using, the device you are using to access my website, your operating system, and the city you are accessing my website from. This information cannot be used to identify you individually. This information is used to help me improve my website and may be used publicly to share statistics.
My website uses cookies in the event that you leave a comment on my website. You can turn cookies off by changing your web browser or device settings. My website does not use cookies for tracking.
My website also uses caching via Litespeed Cache to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire, but I am able to manually purge the cache if necessary. Litespeed Cache uses QUIC.cloud services to process and cache data temporarily. View QUIC.cloud’s privacy policy.

Comment Policy
As mentioned above, comment forms on my blog posts collect some degree of personal information. Although a name is required you are permitted to use an appropriate alias in place of your real name. A valid email address is required to prevent spam. Your email address may be used for automatic notification replies when your comment receives a reply from myself or another individual who submits a comment. It will not be used for other unsolicited communication.
The fact that comments are open on many posts means that I encourage them and am willing to accept any opinions (including opinions in disagreement), and I often partake in discussion. However, I have zero tolerance for any comment that is malicious, abusive, inappropriate, offensive, defamatory to any individual or group, or incites harassment. I also do not allow text or links in the name or comment fields that is promotional or self-promotional. I reserve the right to edit or remove any comment that I deem to violate my comment policy, and will take further action as necessary (see Termination).
At the time of writing, all comments are currently moderated, and will require my personal approval before being published on my website.
By submitting a comment on my website you acknowledge that you are the author of such comment. By approving your comment, I am allowing your comment to be publicly displayed on my website, therefore you grant me permission to share, display, republish, and/or reproduce your comment in any of my future works, including, but not limited to:

Erasure of personal data
I periodically check and remove website URLs from comments if they produce a 404 error or if I do not deem the website appropriate to be linking to from my website. I do not remove email addresses from my databases for as long as my website is online, but should you wish for any personal data to be erased, be it name, email address, or website URL, please email me immediately.

Termination
I may terminate or suspend your access to my website immediately, without prior notice or liability, under my sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation; including, but not limited to, a breach of my terms & conditions and other policies. All provisions of my terms & conditions which, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

My terms & conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If any provision of my terms & conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of my terms & conditions will remain in effect. My terms & conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and I regarding my website, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding my website.
Changes to Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
I reserve the right to modify or replace my terms & conditions and any of my policies at any time. If a revision is material, I will try to provide at least thirty (30) days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at my sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use my website after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms & conditions or any of my policies, you should stop accessing my website.
