I put my sneakers on
I put my sneakers on, I leave the house in a rush; whatever, I’m trying
It was a hectic, hectic week at work, so I was really looking forward to Friday night when Velociraptor were playing. I can’t remember half of what happened during the week, but I know I got upset for a lot of it, and began to feel really stressed out. It had been raining all week, and even though umbrellas can give you company, they make for a literal headache along with the rain. I don’t know how many times I walked into work last week or even just boarded the bus and felt like my head was going to roll off.
It hasn’t been too long since I saw Velociraptor last, but I was excited. I really, really, really wanted to hear them play their new album, which was incidentally released on Friday as well. I wrote an extremely lengthy review (1600 words) for CBB; here it is! I can’t believe the amount of detail I went into RE Velociraptor’s set.
I listened to their album as it was streaming online for free. It kept me going at work, I guess. Velociraptor played Sneakers, which I love, love, love. It’s pretty much the only song on my iPhone because I don’t have enough storage space, so I’ve been rotating between that and their other song Ramona on my morning commute. I ain’t complaining.
So I wore sneakers, of course, and my black Velociraptor shirt. It’s a really nice shirt, as far as band shirts go. I’ve often decided not to purchase a band shirt simply because the design sucked. I also finally got to meet guitarist Josh, funny that we’ve only been talking online for the past couple of years. (Time flies… woah.)
I’ll save any more words now, and share some photos from the night. The first few are of the supporting acts.
