Flipping pages and eyes downcast, Face stern, a mother’s past of memory, longing and habitual smiles, A walking child on countless tiles, Alone, sweet but bitter, A gentle sun further down, The gritting teeth of determination, A heart represented by salvation.
A life, left behind, Fear, long forgotten, For every waking memory holds truer than true to every heart. A symphony oh music, a love long lost, One mistake the entire cost;
Writing, writing, Reading, reading, “Tell me now that you aren’t leaving.” A broken bond, fingers loose, the earth below, a dizzy haze a lifeless ground falling, dissipating
yet far beyond. Sensation, through the fingers that never, never let go.
