The Ambiguity of Regulation
24th August 2010
“A scholar of great eminence”,
a word of less importance
and in light of the emotions that shadow one’s face,
I step back –
the echoes beyond your ears that flame none other
than a soul outside of the one
that wells your eyes;
it travels its distance through the air between
a person, yours,
a person, mine,
”yeah, it’ll be okay with time”
yet even taking time will hinder everything,
a smaller mind not necessarily better,
a smaller brain not necessarily dumber,
but smaller eyes, a smaller face, a little bit less of a person,
a little more hurtful and in the slightest a little more blind,
times past and times coming.
There is… nothing.
