Newtown Festival 2013

James and I went to the Newtown Community Festival yesterday. We went last year, but this year we were a bit disappointed. I guess it was because it rained a little and most of the time this year the stalls were the same. To be honest, I find most festivals are pretty similar year after year. A band I like, Palms, was playing that day, but I wasn’t too keen on hanging around a few more hours to see them because the rest of the festival was not that interesting.

Still an opportunity to get some nice pictures and have a bit of a chilled day. I did some hula-hooping too, which was pretty fun.

This is also my first “photoblog” post since I decided to move my photoblog over to my blog, so here are photos of the rest of the festival!

Loved seeing all these photos! I don’t have much time in my work/daily life to go out to festivals and events, so I have to live vicariously through my blogger friends, haha.

You look like you’re totally rocking it with the hula hoop ;)

Oh wow! I love all of the cute little items that they had for sale. I think that the voodoo doll keyrings are my favorite. I haven’t been hula-hooping in forever. I definitely need to get a new one and start doing again – it was a great ab exercise. :)

All of the photos you took are absolutely gorgeous, and make me want to go to the festival so bad. I definitely need to go to festivals more often…perhaps when we get a vehicle. :)

Wow. It’s nice to see that festival come to life in your photos. Festivals in the Philippines tend to be more traditional than contemporary.

And oh, those voodoo dolls made me remember that I onced collected voodoo dolls when I was in high school.

Wowee you looked like you and James had a lot of fun at this festival! I love seeing all the stalls in one area like this ♥ But I don’t get to go to many here in England.

The calamari looks so yummy, want!

Georgie! It seems like it’s been forever… It’s Zee! Remember? That obnoxious little thirteen year-old that idolized you years ago? :) Haha, well I’m back. I’m certainly changed, and I’ve finally got a blog going that I intend to keep. It would honestly be a shock if you remembered me, never mind regarded me fondly, but ah… It’s worth a shot. > /// <

Anyway, that fair looked like it was so much fun!! I actually thought the clam in the seafood picture was a giant bug when I first scrolled through so that was quite the shock (And disappointment; bugs are pretty cool!) You really have hula hooping skills, girl. You should be a professional. ;D

Haha, obnoxious you certainly weren’t, I might have come across as rude and obnoxious myself (let’s face it, I was a bit of a know-it-all, and that’s what you’re usually like when you’re nearly done with being a teenager, LOL). It is great to hear from you again, Zee. I do remember you from a few years ago as Zee, but I suppose you prefer to be called Avery from now on?

I am not such a huge fan of bugs, though I suppose it depends what kind of bug. :P Now that you mention it, it does look a bit freaky as a big dark shell among the bright rice and other seafood, haha.

Everything is so colorful there. It may just be your photography, but everything also looks nicer there than it does here at various little events with vendors. You guys also have cool stuff, like the animal wallets & the jewelry by the same company, the painted rocks and those juice cordials. Like, I really want one of those. :p

ANYWAYS. Hula hooping in a skirt? You look so flawless and graceful. D: :O 😏 👏

B-b-but I otherwise hate pants! Nah, really, my outfit of choice is skirts/dresses, I find them a lot more comfortable than pants/jeans. I ice skated in a skirt once! :P

o.o Did you change your footer? I know the cisco exams link is missing, but it looks totally different. Unless that one thing can change everything. 😒

Um no…? I removed that link, and that was the only change. Maybe you need to do a hard refresh?

That is a bummer that is was a bit disappointing. It still looks like fun though, and I adore the photos you have taken. Man, those clouds look so adorable, I wish I could have seen the faces. ♥
