Tulip Time Festival 2013

These photos were taken about a month ago (6th October — I have been a bit lax) when James and I went to the annual Tulip Time Festival. It was really lovely last year but this year was a disappointment because the strong winds had gotten to the tulips and cut some of them clean off their stalks. I guess all in all it wasn’t worth it, either, because it was far to travel and there wasn’t much to see.

Afterwards we ended up looking for somewhere to eat, a picnic area or something. Because I was a bit of a failure with my GPS, I ended up getting us stuck on the highway and a bit lost. We just took the next exit and ended up in a little heritage town called Berrima, where we found a candy store called Lolly Swagman, bought some wine gums and other candy, and travelled home.

Check out the photos and their captions for our little journey. :)

Oh gosh, the tulips look so pretty! It may be less impressive than what you saw last year but I think these are really pretty too, from your pics! I’ve never seen a big group of tulips together before – only in florists here. XD

That is a shame that the tulips were damaged and it wasn’t as amazing as it could have been. From the photos they still look really cool (tulips are my fav flower).

OMG the hand made things are so cool. I love seeing photos of these craft stall thingys. :D

ARHHH. That candy store is awesome. CANDY OF BRAINS OMG. Also, CANDY OF CUPCAKES ARRRRRH. *dribble*
