The summer in Sydney started off wet and miserable but it finished hot and sunny and this is why this post is a little later than expected. I was hoping to shoot this in Melbourne when Georgie and I were there for the tennis in January but, like Sydney, it was having a miserable summer. Instead we shot this right at the end of summer just around the corner from Georgie’s house. This location was also used in two of Georgie’s Fashion Fridays.

Spring is one of those weird times in Sydney where its either hot or cold and rarely anything in between. On the day of shooting, it was pretty cold which is evident in the clothes I’m wearing, though obviously not as cold as my Winter post. What I wore for this shoot is very typical of what I wear in Sydney during Spring.

The location of this shoot is in Sydney’s Hyde Part just East of the CBD, you would have seen it in many of Georgie’s recent Fashion Friday posts.

I really hate the cold and as a result I’m not so fond of winter. It’s hard to get up in the morning, it’s hard to go outside… It’s just a difficult time of year for me. However, one thing I love about winter is the opportunity to dress really smartly. There’s nothing I love more than going out in pants, a big coat and an interesting scarf. This Fashion Quarterly, Winter, is pretty much based on my daily style in winter, the only thing that changes day to day are the individual elements and colours.

The location for this shoot was the University of Sydney, the same as Georgie’s recent Wanderlust post. While Wanderlust focused on the historic sights of the campus, mine focuses on the more modern sights. The pics were primarily taken around the law buildings on Eastern Avenue, the main pedestrian street on campus.

You may recognise the shoes, they featured in my Autumn Fashion Quarterly so I won’t really talk about them.

I wore blue Levi skinny jeans, not the same ones as my previous FQ, but very similar in style and colour.

Today’s post is written by Nick. 🙂 It is really new for me to have someone guest post on my blog like this – apart from interviews, no one else has had a chance to feature on my blog, so it’s pretty special.

I am not too sure how I came up with the name, but we decided that it was perfect. We would have found it difficult to make this a monthly thing, so we went along with a seasonal-based, quarterly segment. It’s nice to have something different from the usual girly things on my blog, especially since I love fashion – so I hope you like it.

First of all, I just want to thank Georgie for supporting me and helping me to find my sense of fashion, and also for inviting me to do a quarterly fashion post.

I must admit, I was a bit nervous but excited when Georgie first asked me to write a fashion post. Obviously the first question I had was, “What do I wear?”. I have a lot of clothes which would have been perfect for this post, but I settled on an outfit which I mostly constructed while I was travelling abroad in the US late last year. The shoot we conducted in the Hunter Valley Gardens on a recent trip to the Hunter Valley over the Easter long weekend. It was a great location, lovely gardens, and we luckily just missed the rain.
