On one particular day on our honeymoon, we hit up the fish market, the biggest Uniqlo store in the world, and caught some lovely views of Tokyo at night. Oh, and I got a photo with someone dressed up in a costume that I couldn’t figure out what animal it was supposed to be.
We had a great time at both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea – but I definitely preferred DisneySea. What ride did we go on four times? 😉
In celebration of World Poetry Day today, I wrote a poem inspired by online shopping experiences. It’s been quite some time since I’ve written a poem, so it was nice to get a few words out today.
Japan is famous for its themed cafés, and a maid café is just one of them. We visited a Maidreamin’ café in Akihabara and had an interesting experience.
A little bit out of my usual fashion style is something that looks sporty because of the shoes, but may be a bit more “street”… I got my hands on the new Nike Epic React running shoe! 👟
We couldn’t miss going to Harajuku and experiencing the craziness that is the Kawaii Monster Café, but research shows that Harajuku isn’t quite the same as it was in years gone by, and the appearance of the stylish kids of Harajuku has diminished.
We stayed in Shinjuku while we were in Tokyo for our honeymoon in November. It was a great central area, and I’ve decided to write about certain areas and destinations rather than follow a traditional day-by-day recount.
Goth. Girly. Nerd. Hippie. Gypsy. Punk. Labels. Stereotypes. Judgement. Women have got to stop being judged by what they wear. Stop making assumptions about women.
