Archives for Month: April 2012

The ugly wound on my knee is still ugly, and I’ve been trying my best to keep my leg straight so as not to tear the growing skin when I bend my knee. I think it’ll take another week for it to fully heal.

A lot has been going on despite me having a study break this week. I’ve been working eight hours a day, and we’ve got a new project in the works, […]

I’ve been out of touch a little… not just my posts about technology here and there, but the general hey-look-it’s-a-personal-post post.

Thankfully the huge ugly wound on my knee as a result of me falling on the concrete in the rain is healing and closing up. I actually put some honey on the wound today. I’ll be honest, I picked at the scab a little bit. You know when you think it’s safe to […]

After hearing about the release of Graham Coxon’s new album A + E on The Music (a website I worked on at work, also a terrific music source for Australians), I couldn’t help but be irritated by the album cover. Graham Coxon is the guitarist of the band Blur, and he released a number of solo albums with gorgeous album art that he illustrated himself. Of course I was shocked when I found out […]

I like Rick Astley. Feel free to rickroll me any time. 😉 Especially when you’re running on two hours of sleep and you’ve been up for sixteen hours. Really, really uncool.

I’m pretty tired, that’s a given. I was up until 5:00am this morning. Five. Ay. Em. I usually drop dead at around 2:00am on most days, but lately I’ve been finding that I can stay up really late without feeling tired. A couple of […]

I’m typing this blog post on my iPad, listening to post-rock music in the dark while I sit – or slouch, really – in bed with my headphones over my ears. I’m wearing marshmallow socks – that is, fluffy socks, and they’re yellow – and I’m wearing a big red hoodie.

It’s cold. And I don’t know whether to laugh or cry that the weekend is nearly here. Because of Easter, Monday was a public […]

No, nothing to do with sashimi, actually, though I really dig that stuff.

The Easter weekend is over, I’m no less tired than I was when it started, but I did have a much needed break. I would say that full-time work is killing me! – but it’s not. I’m enjoying it. I’m finding just the right amount of time to do my assignments, having finished my macro/micro analysis with a beautiful long […]

Hi, I thought I’d blog. I was too tired to last night. My four-day weekend has started and I spent most of today replying to emails and browsing eBay. I can’t stop. I can’t get over how cheap jewellery is there, especially rings. I am only after fashion rings. You can get them pretty cheap at the market or when there are sales, ranging from $3 to $10. The annoying thing is that in a […]

Today is just a four-day week. In my state we have Friday and Monday off, because it’s Good Friday and Easter over the weekend, through to Easter Monday. I am completely looking forward to this weekend because I really need to catch up on some work, reading my favourite blogs (/cry), and just having a break from university and work in large blobs. You have nooooooo idea.

I can’t really say I’m stressed, to be […]

Last night I went to see Ball Park Music live at the Factory Theatre. Ball Park Music is a band from Brisbane, Australia. Their music is best described as indie rock/pop. Their style is pretty eccentric and unusual – their lyrics are humourous and if I’m not lying, I think I’d say that if they didn’t have such interesting lyrics, their music would not be as fun, catchy, and memorable. Last night, seeing them live […]
