Archives for Year: 2012

Jump to my previous post for a little survey I did. This is my blog post of the week, though! 🙂

Since we picked my cousin Ricky up from the airport we’ve had a mad ball this entire week. I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of year. I was so keen to welcome in the new year, but I’m a bit scared. I’m not sure why. Maybe I’m a bit sad to farewell […]

I invited my cousin Ricky to this one. It was a great way to end the year.

Here’s a survey I did that has been floating around the internet. Feel free to do it. 🙂

1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?
Quite a few things – I started taking photographs at gigs, which found me my newest hobby as has resulted in me meeting so many lovely people and receiving so many compliments. I also drank my first bit of alcohol.

2. Did you meet […]

This week I received my results for university and I passed! Super mega good news out of the way, eh. I’ve officially passed my Graduate Diploma in Interactive Multimedia. I got a High Distinction again, and I only passed the subject I disliked by eight marks, but that was also balanced out by receiving over 80 in a subject mainly Flash-based (I was very surprised). I’m going to shoot myself in the foot next year […]

A while ago, my friend Seb told me that his favourite blogs of mine – or really, the better ones – were the ones I didn’t plan, and where I just typed anything that was on my mind. For the longest time I refused to believe that unplanned writing was my best, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it’s when my mind works best. I’m not saying that every time I write a […]

I didn’t fully intend for this to happen, but I didn’t tweet for 25 hours. Some kind of Twitter detox, I guess you could say. Twitter is such that you get a lot of small bursts of information, and despite them individually being in bite-sized chunks, that’s no different to having to read a drab academic article on journalism especially when you might follow a lot of people, or the people you follow are borderline […]

Yesterday I went to Homebake, a music, film, comedy and arts festival. I haven’t been to many festivals and this one was… well, I’ll be honest, it was worth the $110 I paid for it. I was debating against buying tickets because I thought I’d win some, or be able to get some for free. It didn’t quite work out that way. What happened was I got tired of waiting, I became really impatient and […]

Monday was good because I got a few assessment marks for some of my subjects. I was rather surprised to see full marks for a group assignment. I was very pleased with that. I wasn’t expecting more than 15/20, considering our presentations were really a mess and I refused to talk in both of them. I’ll admit the bulk of the second half of the assignment was my work – as a group, half of […]
